“Former GE CIO Joins Paladin Associates”

Paladin Associates, Inc. announced that Timothy O. Waite has joined the Atlanta-based management-consulting firm. Waite, with over 37 years of executive experience at GE will lead Paladin’s IT Management and IT Effective Spending practices.Business leaders increasingly see Information Technology as a strategic resource, and a key part of company leadership, since an effective IT strategy is often critical to company success. A strong IT team is generally essential to both growth and cost control. Waite has extensive hands-on leadership experience in simplifying and standardizing IT environments, making IT a contributor to the profitability of the enterprise rather than just a cost center.

Prior to joining Paladin Waite was CIO of several General Electric business units, most recently the newly formed GE Sensing business. He played a key role in acquisition due diligence, multiple global acquisitions, operational integration, business simplification, and profitable strategy execution. Applications he deployed contributed significantly to the operational effectiveness of the Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Technology, Service, and Financial functions, delivering significant reductions to the overall costs of the enterprise.

At Paladin, Mr. Waite will assist clients to assess and develop their IT strategies, key IT projects, IT teams, application portfolios, the effectiveness of deployed technologies, and IT spending. He will also provide project management for key IT deployments or serve as an interim CIO.
